Preparing for Alaska 2002

Half of the fun of a vacation is planning for it. Going to Alaska has always been a dream. I started to send away for guides and reading up on Alaska on the internet in 1999. The summer of 2001 is when I started to plan a route for our 2002 trip. I will retire on Jan 01, 2002. We hope that the house sells by late winter, early spring. We will travel west out of Texas to the California coast, north to Oregon and Washington, further north to British Columbia and Yukon, Canada and NORTH TO ALASKA! Enjoy all of the links that I have provided below.  I hope that they will help you. Please leave a message in our guestbook and tell us of your Alaska experience. We are going to access this page when traveling and use it as a quick reference guide for the area that we are in.

APRIL 2001: I organized my brochures into a notebook and I downloaded onto floppy some information off the internet. We will be dry camping a lot and that means no phone line for surfing, so this way we will have information to view on the laptop. The brochures will provide good reading when relaxing around camp. I called 800 numbers and filled out brochure request forms at websites, so that I can have more planning information while we still have a mailing address. As I plan this summer, I will share with you, at this website, links that were very useful.  Below are my Texas to Alaska Links.
